God bless the Internet, and whoever it was that saw fit to leave a tube of hydrocortisone with at some point in time in the past.

Also, a pox on fire ants.  May they be burned asunder by the might of Al Gore.

Crikey!  Steve Irwin was killed today by stingray while filming a documentary.  His crazy antics will certainly be missed.

Well I'm all moved in at my new place.  A nice studio apt all to myself.  Not necessarily how I wanted to use some vacation days but you gotta do what you gotta do.  I won't have net access there for awhile so don't expecting to see me pop up on any buddy lists anytime soon.  Originally the lack of internet was going to be due to having to wait until the next paycheck, however I could probably swing that sooner now since I had a pleasant surprise waiting for me at the office this morning.  I recieved a bonus this quarter for the many sleepless nights I've put in so far!  I must say I am surprised though that taxes are taken out of bonuses, I didn't think bonuses were taxable, damn the man.

Anyway, I'll probably still end up putting off the net access for a couple more weeks anyway as there are some bills that are hungry for this money and my 400 sq ft apt is more like 20 sq ft at the moment as few boxes have been unpacked yet.  That'll take a couple weeks to unpack and take stuff to Sebring for storage.  I'm still not sure if the fact that I've become frighteningly efficient at these hardcore blitz moveouts is a good thing or not.

Well it looks like my grand plan to not move for awhile has been flushed right down the toilet.  There's been a situation with the house for awhile now and it seems the end result is culminating us having to move out.  Its kind of a long story that I'm a little tired of telling right now as I've told it at least 4 times now.  The short of it is I'm looking for a new place this weekend.  So yeah, one relaxing weekend effectively shot to hell.

I discovered last night Weird Al released a free song.  I thought I'd join in the damning of the man and share that with you.

Man, who needs the official Orlando fireworks display when I've got, what I will now and forever refer to as the Waterfor Arms Race, right in my own backyard.  I mean, you think the drunken displays of blowing shit up over at Danielle's that we've done in the past was good, then brother, you ain't seen nothin yet.   Here's somethin, here's somethin you ain't never gonna forget, you know you know, you just ain't seen nothin yet.

Sorry, kind of spontaneously broke into song there for a moment.

Seriously though, take the average amount of shit that we've bought before, replace all the crappy stuff with good stuff, multiply that by about 5 and then you'd have the amount of stuff that my neighbor bought.  The man had 3...foot...long...sparklers.  Now, take all that stuff, and then picture at least 20, possibly more, households in a subdivision buying the same quality and amount of stuff.  The small war started a little after 8 and is still finishing up.  Seriously, with the amount of money that was spent on fireworks in this area you could feed a small third world country, or you could take over said small third world country with the fireworks themselves.

I just got back from seeing Superman Returns.  Go see this movie as soon as you can.  It turned out to be a great film.  Routh's performance is almost equal to Reeve, close, but Reeve will always be on top.

Now I just need to figure when to see it in IMAX 3D.

Well this weekend was rather relaxing after the crunch of the last couple weeks.  Unfortunately there's going to be another crunch starting next week, so this weekend was a much needed recharge.

I stopped off at sci-fi city on the way home from and work to pick up a large stack of comics.  Got a bunch of GL stuff, the first two issues of Ion, Amazing Spider-Man 531 and 532, Civil War 1, Civil War Frontlines 1, and the first 5 weeks of 52.  I also started a pull list there as I've been wanting to start keeping up with comics again.  With the Civil War going on in the Marvel Universe and 52 and One Year Later happening in DC, its a good time to get back into comics.

This weekend I watched the whole Star Wars saga, including the Clone Wars cartoons, in one sitting.  That took about 13 hours, I wouldn't necessarily reccomend doing it to anyone.  By the time you make it to Empire and Jedi its hard to keep your attention focused, you basically have od'ed on Star Wars at this point and start getting distracted by anything shiny in the room.  I may do this again when I have a long weekend of work and use it as my background noise, other than that I'll probably never do that again.

So when I wasn't doing that or sleeping I was reading comics and drinking.

To summarize I was "nerding it up" all weekend.

I thought this was a thing of awesome that had to be taken to the masses.
